Sharon and Roy ~ a quick snippet from their big day!

What an elegant affair! Sharon and Roy chose the fantastic Vineyard Hotel and Spa as the venue for their big day. We absolutely adore filming there – the staff were incredible (as per usual) and the grounds make for some of the most spectacular shots.

Their wedding ceremony was officiated by Roy’s Father – which made it so special and personal for the couple. After the service, the guests were treated to canapés and cocktails on the hotel’s lawns while photographer Esther Reid and I whisked the couple off for their private photo shoot..

The reception was incredibly romatic, with tables covered in fresh flowers and candles – a beautiful sight when the lights went down… Compliments to the Chef and staff of the Vineyard hotel for the delicious menu, you certainly NEVER dissappoint!

Bambine & Darryn say ‘I Do’ at Muldersvlei Estate

We were so thrilled to be a part of Bambine and Darryn’s wedding at Muldersvlei Estate – what a fantastic day! The ceremony took place in front of the Manor House, under the old oak trees – which we were all very grateful for as it must surely have been one of the hottest days of this new summer! Once the ceremony was finished, the couple greeted their guests in the ‘Tunnel Of Love’ where each friend/family member tossed a wishing pebble in to the fountain for good luck!
Candice (from CandB Photography) and I whisked the couple away for their private photo-shoot – which was a lot of fun! Muldersvlei is a stunning venue and it gave us PLENTY of great locations for the shoot!
Friends and family waited for us on the lawns, keeping themselves entertained with the Photo-Booth that Darryn and Bambine had arranged. Always a great laugh!

Fab Bridal Show at Spier – 20, 21 August 2011

We spent the weekend exhibiting at the FAB Bridal Show at Spier – what a great show! The dark clouds and thundershowers certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! Cape Videos was chosen as the official videographer for the show’s “Win A Wedding” competition, so it was great meeting all the couples at the exhibition and wondering who the lucky winners would be! Live music, fabulous fashion shows, free food galore and loads of fantastic wedding service providers made it an incredible show. I took a few quick snaps from around the venue before the crowds rolled in on Saturday.. ENJOY xoxo

Natalia and James – Nooitgedacht Wine Estate

Natalia and James chose Nooitgedacht Estate in Stellenbosch as the venue for their special day and it did not disappoint! What an amazing setting – we really do love working there! In what must surely have been one of the hottest days of our glorious Cape Town summer, they made their promises to each other on ‘the island’ with friends and family surrounding them.

Candice from CandB Photography was the photographer on the day and what a pleasure it was to work alongside her! Her eye for detail is amazing and the photos looked incredible!

The reception venue looked fantastic – best described by Natalia’s Mom as being: “All pink and sparkly”. We had such a great time at this wedding – Natalia and James’ guests and friends were not at all “camera shy” and really gave us SO much fun and entertaining footage to work with!

Kathryn and David – Cape Town

What an absolutely fantastic couple! Kathy and Dave’s wedding was all smiles and laughter from start to finish – full of energy and love!

They exchanged vows at St Johns Anglican Church in very moving and spiritual ceremony. Once the register was signed and the last petal of confetti thrown, we moved to Springfield College for a quick photo shoot. Photographer Sivan Miller really didn’t have to work too hard with this couple – the smiles and kisses were flowing! Thanks you two for making our jobs so much easier

The reception was an intimate affair, attended by the couple’s closest friends and family. With speeches that made you laugh and cry, it really was a day to remember!

Rhona and Paul – Vrede en Lust Wine Estate

The magnificent Vrede en Lust was the venue for Rhona and Paul’s intimate wedding ~ and what a day they had there! Family and friends had travelled from all over the UK to join this lovely couple as they said their vows on the lawns of this great Cape wine estate. Both Rhona and Paul were dressing at the venue, so we were able to capture some fun shots before the ceremony began. The ceremony setting just has to be one of the most picturesque in the world! Vast lawns edged by vineyards and all nestled in a valley surrounded by the stunning Cape mountains! Breathtaking!

Minister Roger Horwood, in his usual friendly and sincere way, relaxed the couple before leading them in their vows. What a setting! The couple were facing their guests, so the view down the aisle was spectacular! The aisle, the flower decked gazebo and the vineyards and mountains as a backdrop! You had to be there!!

Talented photographer Sarah Wood and I had such a creative day as we captured memories on photo and film for Rhona and Paul. The reception was held in the wine cellar and as night fell, the fairylights on the ceiling and walls lit up the room to give the most romantic backdrop to the party that followed. Later that night, guests were asked to move outside once more, where Fire Tribe entertained everyone with their amazing fire dancing performance! A nervous Paul and his Best man took turns in having Jon-Peer of Fire Tribe ‘spin’ fire around them! The Best man even shouted that he was “now medium rare if anybody wants me”! Afterwards, the lovely bride stepped forward to show the boys that girls can also have fun!

Rhona and Paul are a great couple and the chemistry is there – watch the highlight clip below and see for yourself!

Marcelle and Richard – South Hill, Elgin

The rain certainly didn’t dampen the spirits of all who had arrived to celebrate the wedding of Marcelle and Richard at South Hill in Elgin. They do say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day! With moments to spare, the skies cleared just long enough for the couple to say their vows surrounded by all their friends and family.

Once the formalities were over, the party was moved inside where the dancing and fun continued well into the night in front of a roaring log fire.

Donna and Alan – Vrede en Lust Wine Estate

We were DELIGHTED to be a part of Donna and Alan’s special day.. What a fantastic couple! As quite a few of their friends and family had travelled from across the world to celebrate their big day with them, Donna and Alan could not have chosen a more spectacular setting. The ceremony and reception both took place at the beautiful Vrede en Lust Wine Estate. The ceremony was held on the lawns of the estate – with the mountains and vineyards making a breathtaking backdrop for their guests to enjoy! Once the formalities were over – the party was moved to the lawns in front of the manor house – where the guests were treated to the vibrant sounds of a local marimba band. Snacks, cocktails, great music and an incredible sunset over the Franschhoek mountains kept the guests entertained while we moved into the vineyards for a quick photo-shoot..
Working alongside photographer Jean-Pierre Uys was a treat – as always – and the couple’s photo-shoot was all smiles and laughter..
The guests were then ushered into the reception by the Marimba Band and thats where the party really started! Dancing, dancing and MORE dancing made it a night to remember..

A big thank you to Donna an Alan for choosing Mark and I to be a part of your special day – we enjoyed it just as much as you did!
